The sixth graders have worked with tints and shades in large paintings with tempera paint. Watercolor was next in coloring in their pictures of activities they do in a group. Many sports pictures came out of this project, and many meaningful expressions of sharing times with others. To finish off the first trimester, students drew geometric shapes in which the points barely touched another shape to create a drawing based on a drawing by Kandinsky called Nearly Touching. Among the projects to follow for trimester two will be to create animal from clay.
