EXPERIMENT USING ORGANISM
You are asked to design and implement an experiment using an organism of some type. Your experiment should meet the goals listed below and should follow the steps of proper experiment design and problem solving that has been discussed in class. You also will need to submit your ideas to the teacher for approval before you start your experiment.
Due Dates: Outline of experiment is due September 29, 2000
Final report is due October 19, 2000
GOALS:

2. RESULTS MUST BE OBSERVEABLE
3. NEED TO HAVE A CONTROL TO EXPERIMENT
4. MUST RUN FOR 7 DAYS IN LENGTH
5. FINAL OBSERVATIONS AND CONCLUSION ARE DUE ON OCTOBER 19
6. FINAL REPORT CAN BE IN THE FOLLOWING FORMATS
A) LAB REPORT
B) CLASS DEMO/ PRESENTATION
C) VIDEO
Types of experiment:
a) How will light affect the ORGANISM?
b) How does temperature affect the organism?
c) How do sounds, music or talking affect the organism?
d) How does the size of cage or container affect the organism?
e) How do different feedings affect the organism? (Different types of food)
f) How does pollution affect the organism?
g) What other environmental factors will affect it?
