Welcome from the Windham Raymond School Department Technology Team! 

We have a world class technology team of people who support the technology needs of over 3,400 students and hundreds of staff.

We support over hundreds of PC desktops/laptops and 1,050 netbooks on the Microsoft platform and 1,500 Mac computers.  We have several virtualized servers using a Storage Area Network, robotic tape autoloader and network infrastructure encompassing 802.11N wireless, fiber and copper.  Every school in our district has a wireless network.  We support Virtual Private Networking for remote access by teachers and staff, distance-based education in several classes which is available 24/7 accessible off-campus as well as on.

Our web site shows student grades, attendance and other information accessible by parents and each teacher can update their own personalized web page without having to have programming skills.  We have a CADD lab, we also offer web page design and graphics to students with advanced development and graphics tools.  We have automated food services for the students with account codes and we allow parents to check balances and make payments through the web.  We support multiple MS-SQL, MySQL and  other databases and have several custom in-house programming applications tending to our Information Technology needs.  Our Middle School has access to satellite TV broadcasts.

We have a computerized bus scheduling system.  We maintain 4 list serves which keep parents and the community informed constantly.  We have Discovery streaming videos to help teach students with the latest technology of streaming video.

We monitor student progress through DRA, MEA, PSAT, SAT, NWEA, Aimsweb and several other assessments so we can monitor literacy and student achievement and use that data to modify curriculum and instruction.  We support a computerized system which tracks our library resources.  We have virtual dissection programs for students to achieve in science while minimizing lab costs.  We have a computerized heating and cooling system which is remotely accessible.  We provide technical support to host local elections. We offer computerized surveys to gauge satisfaction and collect public opinion.

We leverage Cloud Computing by utilizing Google Apps, we offer online education via Moodle, Edmodo, StudyWiz and others.

We do countless technologically enhanced processes to maximize education for our students and support them in their ascent into the future.  We are able to do all these things because we have the support of our School Board, Senior and Middle Level Administrators, Teachers, Staff, Parents, Students and the Community.   We have a world class Tech Team working in a world class school district!
