Summer Information

  • Summer Office hours for Windham Middle School will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 am until 12 noon beginning on July 8th  and lasting through August 13th.  Regular office hours will return on August 18th .  The office phone number is 207-892-1820. If you need to reach Mr. Haddock, please contact him by email at chaddock@rsu14.org

  • New enrollments at Windham Middle School are not finalized until the week before school starts.   Forms for this enrollment can be picked up in advance by coming to the middle school office during summer hours. The guidance secretary will contact parents new to Windham Middle School the week before school starts to schedule an appointment to finalize the enrollment of your child.

  • The first day of school for 2014-2015 is August 26th, 2014. Students will attend school for three days on this first week.  There will be no school on Friday August 29th or on Monday, September 1st.

  • A new grading and reporting system that will define proficiency by a 1 to 4 scale will be implemented in the Fall.  Look for more information about this before school begins.

  • The school is forming new alliances with the Boy Scouts of America that will bring new opportunities for students. One of those opportunities will again look at the creation of a Model plane/Aviation Club at the school.  This did not come to fruition last year and I am hopeful with this support and additional parent support, the club can become a reality.

Summer Work for Staff:

Curriculum, assessment, and rubric creation and alignment with Common Core will begin to occur within District Committees. More work will be required next year.

Restorative Practices training in August.

JumpRope Training for Grading and Reporting in August.

Have a Great Summer!
